TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Throughout the school, the teachers employ positive teaching methods adapted as required to meet the needs and age of the pupils.
It is the policy of the school that pupils respond in a well structured classroom situation where the teacher directs the class as a whole, smaller groups or individually.

A high standard of behaviour is expected from all pupils, awareness and respect of all other pupils and staff, which leads to self-control and politeness to their peers.
In school every moment counts, The children are expected to concentrate and persevere in overcoming all problems and difficulties. We aim to foster a scene of personal achievement and congratulate pupils when they have shown progress and success.
The teaching staff presents an enthusiastic and purposeful approach to which pupils readily respond.

Each pupil is given the opportunity to succeed at their own speed with emphasis placed on reading; the key to learning together with penmanship, spelling and numeric skills.

AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Not all children will enjoy academic work and talents may lie in other areas. For this reason, the school endeavours to offer a range of activities, according to the interests of the children. These include sporting activities, music, drama and a variety of opportunities, encouraging health and fitness and a growing interest in hobbies. The School also operates a House System.
